Bio sketch:
Georgi Iskrov is an Associate Professor of Biostatistics at the Medical University of Plovdiv.
From 2008 to 2013, Georgi was an International Projects Coordinator at the Institute for Rare Diseases in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. At this position, he participated in all major EU-funded public health research projects on rare diseases, including Orphanet, EUROPLAN, BURQOL-RD, EPIRARE and RARE-Best Practices. Since 2013, he has been Head of Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Unit at the Institute for Rare Diseases, working with national and international stakeholders in HTA of orphan medicinal products. Georgi’s research interests include utility assessment, multi-criteria decision analysis, cost analyses, burden of disease studies and epidemiological registries. He has served as a peer reviewer at leading international scientific journals, including Value in Health and Health Policy.
